Hire Me: the Business Edition
/You’ve read the book, of course, and that has certainly changed your view of your creativity for the better, but I hear you asking, “Dale, is there any way I can get the Precepts of Lichtenbergianism to work in a business setting?”
I’m glad you asked.
The short answer is, “Yes, of course. Hire me.”
The long answer is, “Yes, of course. Hire me.” The Lichtenbergian Precepts are simply an outline of the creative process, and whatever your business is you need your employees to be able to face the uncertainty of creating something new with some measure of confidence. If they can label their work with ABORTIVE ATTEMPTS and SUCCESSIVE APPROXIMATION, et al., they are going to be much more likely to push forward than to hang back, afraid of failure.
That’s why you would hire me to come in and present to your employees— in a large group setting or a small conference room — how “procrastination” can help them get more done.
It goes without saying that I’m entertaining and responsive.
