Fun Friday Resources

Yes, this is a day late.  I was on the road yesterday, coming home from the Retreat (more about that Monday).

This week, just a couple of space thingies:

I am assuming that everyone has wondered, like I have, where you would have lived in Pangaea.  No? Just me, then?

Still, this Ancient Earth globe is great fun. It's actually (as the URL suggests) a dinosaur site. After you locate yourself on the globe, the page lists fossils near you, and that's fun too.

Years ago I designed a lesson for whichever grade was studying the planets: do a travel poster for your planet, to convince tourists to come there.  Now NASA has picked up on the idea, only for planets outside our solar system. (My memory is fuzzy, but I don't think we even had exoplanets back then.)  They've had a grand time putting this site together.

And if you've never seen NASA's Space Image of the Day...  (and look at the Galleries).

All in all, some grand TASK AVOIDANCES here.  Enjoy!
