Fun Friday Resources
/Today we have several websites that can provide you with background sound, either natural sounds or music. (I know, you’ve got SoundCloud or BandCamp, but sometimes it’s nice to mix it up.)
First up is Music for Programming, which presents itself literally as a set of playlists for coders to have on in the background to improve their focus. I find its daringly minimalist look charming.
Lofi Cafe is exactly that, just random playlists. Again, deliberately anti-Web 2.0 in its look. Click on the station name at the bottom to get more stations.
If you need even less structure, head over to Generative.FM, which allows you control over ambient tones to create your own mix of sound.
Even further away from human music, Sounds of Earth gives you the planet with spots that have microphones (or at least recorded sound).
Now if I could figure out how to get these to play on the sound system in the labyrinth…
