You are probably already aware of explore.org’s livecams, what with Fat Bear Week and all, but did you know that Katmai National Park is not the only livecam around? Over at Ask Nature, you will find an interesting combination of science, ecology, and spiritual practice. Their main idea is that to solve issues facing humans, we need to ask nature and listen to the solutions that the rest of the planet’s living beings have found through their evolutionary process. British Pathé was a pioneering company who created newsreels that ran before movies in the theatres, and it was — as their website says — how people got their news before television. They have over 85,000 short films, mostly black and white, from 1896–1978, plus hundreds of thousands of films from other news organizations.
